WICKED’s Eden Espinosa and HAIRSPRAY’s Kamilah Marshall tease return of popular pandemic GAME NIGHT series.

IT’S ICONIC!! Broadway powerhouses Eden Espinosa and Kamilah Marshall are teasing a possible exciting new project coming tomorrow on Broadstream. Fans of the dynamic duo are already predicting its the return of their popular GAME NIGHT web series. Tune in tomorrow to find out what it is.
For those who may now know, real life BFF’s Espinosa and Marshall (alumnis of the Broadway production of Rent & many of the hottest tickets on the Great Bright Way) teamed up with Musical Theatre West during lockdown as they competed against each other in a series of various Musical Theater Themed Trivia Games on Instagram Live every Thursday night. Each week featured various games including….
PICTIONARY,
NAME THAT TUNE,
CELEBRITY,
THE WHISPER GAME (which notably Espinosa and Marshall ended up creating the official nickname for Game Night…. BAIDA),
FIRST LETTER, LAST LETTER,
and more.
Along with the viewers getting involved and interacting during the Lives, GAME NIGHT also features a hilarious drinking game. Before they actually start playing, Espinosa & Marshall would also choose a random “word of the day” (several words in previous episodes include HURRY, DRAW, PERSON, JOY, or EASY). Everytime one of them says that chosen word while playing their games, you better DRINK FOR YOUR LIFE. Also in the comment section, you would share an emoji to let them know you’re drinking.
GAME NIGHT ended on Instagram September 2020 due to news of rules, regulations, and restrictions getting changed to Instagram with copyrights laws for the use of popular music on daily lives. The final 3 episodes were done as a full interactive edition on ZOOM.
Who is excited for Eden and Kamilah’s announcement?!!!

No description available.

BREAKING NEWS: Lindsay Pearce announced that she is aiming to return to the Broadway company of WICKED around mid-December. The performer (best known for playing “Harmony” on Glee) has been out of the Award winning Stephen Schwartz musical just a week after it had just reopened on the Great Bright Way post pandemic this past September due to a leg injury. Pearce is taking extra precaution to take care of herself, heal, and recover.
She did reveal that she will start re-rehearsing the show at the end of of this month of November 30th, 2021.
Currently, Jennifer DiNoia is back on the broom DEFYING GRAVITY 8 times a week as “Elphaba” fulltime as Pearce continues to recover. For those who may not know, DiNoia has been playing the role of the misunderstood green girl on the past 14 YEARS. She has done it on 4 continents. Prior to the COVID-19 pandemic, DiNoia returned to the Broadway production in 2019 (after having previously did a year long fulltime Principal contract from 2016-2017) once again serving as the standby for “Elphaba” (being the 1st to go on in Pearce is out).
With DiNoia taking over once again as the main principal “Elphaba”, her usual track as the standby currently is now temporary being performed by another returning alumni cast member Alyssa Fox (most recently seen for the last 3 years as the standby for “Elsa” in Disney’s Frozen).
Continue to get better Lindsay.
We will see you back in OZ soon.

THRILLIFYING NEWS: For the first time in 14 YEARS, Tony and Emmy Award winner Kristin Chenoweth will return to The Metropolitan Opera just in time for the holiday season. The 4’11 favorite is set to take the stage at the legendary venue on December 13th, 2021 with a brand new ONE NIGHT ONLY solo show
CHRISTMAS AT THE MET. It comes in support of her brand new holiday album HAPPINESS IS….. CHRISTMAS which came out last month from Concord Records.
This new program will reunite Chenoweth with her beloved longtime concert team consisting of THE BROADWAY MAN himself Richard Jay-Alexander directing and Mary-Mitchell Campbell serving as Musical Director. The duo have done various of Chenoweth’s ongoing concerts together around the world including her 2 limited Broadway concert residencies 2016’s MY LOVE LETTER TO BROADWAY and 2019’s FOR THE GIRLS.
In this new holiday concert, fans can expect the 4’11 favorite to perform mainly a selection of notable holiday favorites on both the new HAPPINESS IS…. CHRISTMAS album along with 2008’s A LOVELY WAY TO SPEND CHRISTMAS. You can also expect some of her notable tunes including hits from WICKED, her previous solo albums, Opera surprises, and more.
Chenoweth returns to The Met following her previous triumphant solo concert there back in 2007. That concert was previously directed and choreographed by Tony winner Kathleen Marshall along with Musical Direction by Andrew Lippa accompanying a 13 piece orchestra. She also shared the stage with the Julliard Choral Union (under the direction Judith Clurman). That setlist featured a lineup of Broadway favorites, Opera, and even a little Country. Chenoweth is only the 2nd Musical Theatre star EVER to have given a concert at the iconic Lincoln Center Opera house following the late Barbara Cook.
Along with doing the concert, Chenoweth also originally received a scholarship after having taken part in the Metropolitan Opera National Council auditions back in the 90’s. However, she turned it down due to landing more Musical Theater stuff. At the same time, Chenoweth also was scheduled to make her Opera debut there starring as “Samira” in The Met’s 2010 revival production of John Corigliano’s THE GHOSTS OF VERSAILLES. However, that production got effected by the 2008 Great Economic Recession and was cancelled.
Full circle moment!!
WE COULDN’T BE HAPPIER to welcome Kristin Chenoweth back to the Met!!!
